I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I attended the University of Utah and majored in investment finance. After college I returned to Portland, Oregon to work in finance but realized it wasn’t just the finances of businesses that I loved, it was the stories behind them. So I started a new career in journalism. I recently recieved my Master's degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University in New York City. In my free time I enjoy exploring the wonderful history and beauty of the East Coast by biking, running and stopping at as many bakeries along the way.
